ADVENTURE TERM
Adventure Term is a nonprofit experiential learning initiative that equips young scientists, artists, and explorers with the skills they need to become the next generation of environmental storytellers.
ADVENTURE TERM was born from an ill-advised expedition into the Florida Everglades in search of the “rare and dangerous” American Crocodile. When Kyle and Trevor survived to tell the tale of their adventure, they founded a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization called ADVENTURE TERM, designed to train emerging environmental storytellings in ecological writing, documentary filmmaking, adventure photography, and conservation communication.
Past Expeditions
ADVENTURE TERM has run expeditions into the coastal forests of eastern North Carolina in search of the disappearing red wolves, the ghost dogs of the south; into the borderlands of southern Arizona on the trail of a bird, a frog, and a big cat; among the waterfalls of the southeast to seek salamanders in their dens of dark water; through the rivers of grass in the Everglades in the wake of American Crocodiles; and into the cloud forests of Costa Rica in search of the lost gold of the elfin forest.
